After applying the mild cleaner to your stained grout, let it sit for a few minutes to work on the stains. You can then scrub the stained spot with a brush to remove the stains before rinsing well with clean water.
Are They Tough Stains? Use Bleach
If the stains won't go away after cleaning with mild cleaners, try using bleach. You can an oxygen, chlorine, or hydrogen peroxide. Oxygen bleach is however the safer option among the three. Dilute the bleach with some water and apply it over the stained area. As the bleach works through the stains, you will notice some bubbles. Let it sit as well for a few minutes before scrubbing the grout or stained spot and rinsing with water.
Are You Concerned About The Odour? Use Vinegar Solution
Stains from pet urine or excrement will have an odour. A quick solution to take care of both the stain and the odour is to use vinegar solution. Just like when using mild cleaners, you need to mix equal amounts of vinegar and water in a container. Apply the solution to the stained grout and let it sit as well for a few minutes, about ten or so. The solution should have worked on the stains within this time. You will then simply scrub the floor using a brush to dislodge the stains. You can then rinse with clean water afterwards.
